A: kNOw Carbon House is the oldest surviving post office building in Hong Kong and was listed as a declared monument in 1990. To conserve the centre environment and provide visitors with the best visiting experience, individual and organisation booking need to be made at least 3 days and 31 days prior to the date of visit respectively.
Q: What time does the booking system update every day?
A: It updates at 00:00 every day.
Q: Can organisation make booking for more than 25 people?
A: Maximum number of persons of an organisation booking is 25, including accompanying staff or caregivers. The same organisation may visit the kNOw Carbon House a maximum of two times in a month (except for applications from schools). If the number of visitors exceeds 25, applicants need to submit two or more applications separately. If there is more than one application, visitors will be arranged to make a visit on different days or at different time slots on the same day.
Q: How do I cancel group booking?
A: Cancellation of individual booking should be made at least 3 days prior to the date of visit via the online booking system or by email [email protected]. Cancellation of group booking must be made at least 7 days prior to the date of visit by email [email protected]. Late cancellation will be regarded as no-show.
Q: Is there any arrangement for booking amendment?
A: If there are any amendments in the reservation details, please email to [email protected]. Amendment is generally not allowed unless the reduction of number of visitors. New booking application is required for extra visitors.

A: The newly renovated "kNOw Carbon House" is themed around "Carbon Neutrality". The centre offers a variety of information and materials related to the theme, as well as providing guided tours and various environmental activities for participants.

A: The guided tour service involves two parts, including regular thematic exhibition introductions and interactive experience sessions (such as workshops, interactive games, environmental lectures, etc.). It provides participants with a new experience of approximately 90 minutes.
Q: Who is the guided tour service intended for?
A: The guided tour service is for all members of the public (participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above).

A: Photographs and videos can be taken for personal use only. Aerial shooting, photography or shooting for commercial use and any other photography or shooting with wedding suits or dresses, graduation gowns or special costumes are strictly prohibited except with prior permission granted.

Q: What are the visit arrangements before and after hoisting the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above?
A: Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above is hoisted before the opening hours, the opening of kNOw Carbon House will be delayed for 3 hours after the signal is lowered. If the signal remains hoisted at 1:00pm, kNOw Carbon House will be closed for whole day. If the signal is expected to be hoisted within two hours during the opening hours, visitors will be notified of the pending closure of kNOw Carbon House and arranged to leave as soon as possible.
